Pigments & Colored Materials
Pigments are organic or inorganic particles added to the base polymer. It gives the plastic a specific color and provides them with functional benefits.
Pigments are insoluble organic or inorganic particles added to the polymer base to give a specific color to the plastic.
Inorganic pigments (like metal oxides, sulfides, and carbon blacks) get more easily dispersed in the resin. Amongst the inorganic pigments titanium dioxide is the most widely used pigment in the plastics industry.
There are several pigments available in the plastics industry.

Ultramarine pigment consists primarily of a zeolite-based mineral containing small amounts of polysulfides. It occurs in nature as a proximate component of lapis lazuli containing a blue cubic mineral called lazurite.
Optical brighteners, optical brightening agents (OBAs), fluorescent brightening agents (FBAs), or fluorescent whitening agents (FWAs), are chemical compounds that absorb light in the ultraviolet and violet region.
Opacity Pigments used for most Plastics applications. Our products for Plastics are based on pigmented core particles with carefully selected surface treatments added to ensure the optimum performance in the recommended applications such as PVC – Rigid and Flexible, Polyolefin Masterbatch
